The Non-League Paper reported on Sunday that Cards winger John Goddard has attracted interest from League One side Swindon Town.

The 22-year-old has scored 18 goals – 15 in the league – this season from left midfield. In a topsy-turvy campaign for Woking, Goddard has been the standout player, having made 48 starts. In March he was called up to represent England C for the first time in his career. He played the full 90 minutes in Kiev as the Non-League Three Lions ran out 2-0 winners.

It is no surprise that his efforts haven’t gone unnoticed elsewhere, with The NLP confirming that Swindon are interested in signing the winger when his contract runs out at the end of the season.
