A round-up of all of this weekend’s Vanarama National League fixtures.

CHELTENHAM TOWN maintained their four point gap at the top of the Vanarama National League thanks to Danny Wright’s third minute goal that was enough to defeat TRANMERE ROVERS. It was also Cheltenham’s 21st consecutive game unbeaten.

FOREST GREEN ROVERS beat play-off hopefuls EASTLEIGH to stay hot on the leaders tail. Jon Parkin’s brace, his second coming two minutes from time, gave them a vital 2-1 win.

At the opposite end of the table, rock-bottom TORQUAY UNITED won 1-0 at struggling BOREHAM WOOD. FC HALIFAX TOWN’s surprise 4-2 win over GRIMSBY TOWN means the Wood slip into the bottom four.

WELLING UNITED remain 22nd and are seven points from safety after losing 2-0 at home to WREXHAM, who are now two points off the play-offs. Lee Fowler and Connor Jennings (pen) scored the goals for the Dragons in the first-half.

GATESHEAD moved into the play-offs with a 3-2 win over ALDERSHOT TOWN while LINCOLN CITY moved up to 8th with a 3-1 home win to SOUTHPORT.

KIDDERMINSTER HARRIERS have had a mini revival in recent weeks to boost their survival bid but squandered a two-goal lead to draw 2-2 with CHESTER. Another crucial relegation clash between ALTRINCHAM TOWN and GUISELEY finished 1-1.

BROMLEY, having lost their last four league games, put a dent in WOKING’s play-off hopes, coming from a goal behind to win 2-1.

MACCLESFIELD TOWN’s home fixture against DOVER and BARROW vs BRAINTREE were both postponed due to waterlogged pitches.
