A win for the Cards at home to Guiseley will see them move into the play-off places.
Woking Team News:
Since Woking’s last outing in the Vanarama National League, they overcame Oxford City 1-0 in the FA Trophy and then Westfield, 4-1 in the Surrey Senior Cup. Having taken only two points from their last three league games, a win against lowly Guiseley is vital to keep their play-off hopes alive. Eastleigh’s home game against Barrow is off, so a win will see Woking move into the play-offs.
Chris Arthur has served his three match suspension and is available for selection. There are no known injuries.
Player to watch: Joe Quigley
The 19-year-old striker on loan from Bournemouth scored twice in Tuesday’s win and the only goal vs Oxford, to take his tally nine in all competitions. He’ll want to take this form into the league and he has the potential to cause Guiseley’s vulnerable defence problems.
Guiseley Team News:
The visitors gained promotion to Vanarama North in 2010 and then lost in the play-offs four times before beating Chorley in the final last season.
They sit six points clear of the relegation zone in 18th. They’ve only won once in their last six, drawing two and losing three.
Player to watch: James Hurst
Guiseley’s top scorer with seven goals, Hurst will be one for Woking’s defence to keep a close eye on. If the visitors are to come away with any points they’ll need to rely on Hurst taking his chances.
Match Facts & Stats
The sides met for the first time ever in September last year. It was a 4-4 thriller, albeit at the expense of Woking, who led four times – 2-0 at one stage – only to be pegged back each time, ending in an injury time equaliser for the home side.
